Layoffs.fyi has revealed that within just the first three months of this year, 95 companies announced job cuts totaling a staggering 73,200 positions. The primary reasons cited for this trend are increased reliance on AI and cost-cutting measures. This list includes major corporations such as Meta, Oracle, Snap, and Disney. Oracle cut nearly 30,000 jobs; reports indicate that 12,000 of these cuts occurred within India alone. Meanwhile, Meta shed over 2,000 jobs, while Disney laid off 1,000 employees.
