95% of Government Jobs Reserved for Locals: Government
Andhra Pradesh: 95% of posts in government jobs are set to be allocated exclusively to locals. Based on the Central Gazette Notification regarding the 2025 Presidential Order, the government has issued Government Order (GO) 45. The state has been demarcated into 6 zones and 2 multi-zones. Within the respective cadres, 95% of the posts will be filled under the local quota, while the remaining will be filled under the general quota. To be considered a 'local' candidate, an individual must have studied in the district for four consecutive years leading up to their qualifying examination; alternatively, their parents must have resided in the district for four years.
