A Rare Record for Vizag Port!
Andhra Pradesh: Vizag Port has set a rare record in cargo handling. In the current financial year, it handled 85 million tonnes of cargo within 345 days. It is noteworthy that this marks the first time in the port's 92-year history that cargo has been transported on such a scale. Port Chairman Angamuthu stated that they expect to achieve the target of 90 million tonnes within this very financial year. He also expressed confidence that they would reach the 100 million-tonne mark by 2026–27.
