Aadhaar and Ration Cards Accepted as Proof of Address
Amaravati: The Revenue Department has amended the orders issued on the 16th of this month, which had previously required people to visit Tahsildar offices to obtain a residence certificate. A fundamental amendment was made to Government Order (GO) 592 in this regard. It clarified that the addresses listed on Aadhaar cards and ration cards held by the public would be accepted as proof of residence, meaning those possessing these documents do not need to obtain a separate certificate.
