Andy Burnham: Britain’s New Prime Minister
London: Andy Burnham was unanimously elected on Friday as the new leader of Britain's ruling Labour Party. Consequently, he is set to assume office as the new Prime Minister of Britain. After incumbent Prime Minister Keir Starmer submits his resignation to King Charles III on Monday, the King is expected to invite Burnham to form the government. Out of the 403 Labour Party MPs in the House of Commons, 379 extended their support to him.
