Asian Chess Winners: Mayank and Pratiti
Indian players Mayank Chakraborty and Pratiti Bordoloi have clinched titles at the Asian Junior Chess Championship. Mayank emerged as the winner with 7.5 points after drawing the final round of the classical event on Wednesday, while Artem Pingin (Russia) and Indian player Daksh Goyal secured the silver and bronze medals, respectively. In the girls' classical category, Pratheethi also finished her final round with a draw to clinch the gold with 7.5 points; Mariia Kholiavko (Kazakhstan) took the silver, and Indian player Niveditha shone by winning the bronze.
