Not 100, but 50!
Amaravati: Piduguralla Medical College will be limited to just 50 MBBS seats for this year's NEET admissions. Although the National Medical Commission (NMC) had issued a Letter of Permission (LoP) allocating 100 MBBS seats to the college three weeks ago, it subsequently reduced the number to 50. The NMC clarified to the management that granting permission for 100 seats was difficult due to a lack of certain infrastructural facilities. It stated firmly that approval for additional seats would be granted only after adequate Outpatient (OP) and Inpatient (IP) services, medical staff, and infrastructure were put in place.
