Visakhapatnam: A cyclonic circulation has formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal, adjoining north Odisha and West Bengal. The Meteorological Department stated that, under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form in the northwest Bay of Bengal on Saturday. A weather expert indicated that another low-pressure area is expected to form on September 3rd or 4th. Meanwhile, intense heat conditions persisted across many parts of the state on Thursday, with daytime temperatures recording 3 to 5 degrees Celsius above normal.
