Senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan was released from Sitapur jail on Tuesday afternoon. After a 23-month wait, a large crowd of Samajwadi Party supporters gathered outside the jail to celebrate his release. Following his release from Sitapur jail, SP leader Azam Khan also got into an argument with police officers. A video of the incident has surfaced.

After coming out of jail, Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan is seen harassing the police while sitting in his car. Azam Khan tells the police officer, "These are not my people, they are travelers... What's the point of harassing them?" Azam Khan didn't stop there, and then added, "You (police officers) are stopping people because of me."
Azam Khan was on his way to Rampur
After coming out of Sitapur jail, Azam Khan was traveling by road to his home district, Rampur. A large number of his supporters were present during the visit. Azam Khan's convoy was heading towards Rampur. Azam Khan was then stopped by a police team. During this, he got into an argument with the police.
73 vehicles were also fined.
Fallons were issued for vehicles in Azam Khan's convoy. In Sitapur, 73 vehicles were fined. The fine amounted to ₹149,000. Police stated that all these vehicles were parked in a no-parking zone.

Azam Khan was accompanied by 400 supporters to Sitapur. Azam Khan, wearing black glasses, a black turban, and a white kurta, emerged from jail in his car. He waved to his supporters.
