Can acid attack victims not be given government jobs?: Supreme Court
The Supreme Court has questioned the states and UTs why they have not brought a rehabilitation scheme to provide government jobs to acid attack victims. It has ordered them to formulate a scheme to provide employment to them in sectors controlled by the government. It has suggested that a policy should be brought to pay a living allowance if there are any problems in providing jobs. It made these comments during the hearing of the case of an acid attack victim from Haryana.
