Central Gazette Notification for Census-2027
Census Commissioner of India Mrityunjay Kumar Narayan has released the gazette notification for the ‘Census-2027’ in the country. It will be conducted in two phases between April 1, 2026 and February 28, 2027. The first phase will include house listing, housing schedule, and the second phase will include the population census. First, pre-test collection will be conducted. For the first time, caste information will be collected in the population census. The opportunity will also be given to provide personal details digitally.
