Centre gives green signal for ₹5500 crore electronic component projects
The Centre has approved 7 electronic component units to be undertaken at a cost of ₹5500 crore in the pursuit of ‘Aatmanirbhar’. Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that due to these, import costs will be reduced by Rs.20 thousand crore in the coming period. Along with Kaynes Syrma, three other groups have come forward with investments of Rs.1.15 lakh crore. Meanwhile, Electronics & IT Secretary Krishnan said that proposals worth ₹1.15 lakh crore have been received.
