Centre Yields to Students' Struggle
Various sections of society in the state expressed happiness over Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, which came in response to the pressure exerted by students and youth—led by the Congress—regarding the NEET paper leak issue. They hailed this as a victory for the student community. State Congress leaders remarked that the central government had yielded to the prolonged struggle waged by students and the opposition. TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud stated that this struggle proved there is no room for dictatorial attitudes in a democracy.
