Circle' Controversy Erupts in Kadapa!
The proposed renaming of the 'Almaspeta Circle' in Kadapa city has sparked a controversy. A certain section of the community is demanding that this area—which has been known as Almaspeta Circle for many years—be officially renamed "Tipu Sultan Circle." A 31-foot statue of Lord Hanuman has been installed near the Anjaneya Swamy temple situated right next to this circle. It was decided that the statue's consecration ceremony would be held on the 12th, coinciding with Hanuman Jayanti. However, a controversy erupted when banners (flexies) displayed for the occasion referred to the location as "Hanuman Circle."
