Compete with the Olympics as the goal
Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha urged the athletes participating in the Amaravati Championship competitions to play with the aspiration that 10 to 20 percent of them would go on to compete in the Olympics in the future. She inaugurated the state-level Amaravati Championship sports competitions in Tirupati on Monday morning. Speaking on the occasion, he expressed gratitude to everyone involved in organizing the championship—which united schools across the state and instilled enthusiasm among athletes at a time when sports activities were fading into the background.
