Confirm the 18 percent tariff
New Delhi: The US, which wants to quickly sign a free trade agreement with India, is proposing to implement an interim package first. As per the ‘framework’ understanding reached in February, the country is likely to impose an 18 percent tariff on exports from India to the US. There are currently suggestions that this 18% tariff should be accepted.
