Exercise underway to establish 15 additional Zilla Parishads
Amaravati: Following the creation of new districts, the Panchayat Raj Department has prepared proposals to establish 15 additional Zilla Parishads (ZPs) in the state. The existing 13 Zilla Parishads will be reorganized to ensure there is one ZP for each district, resulting in a total of 28 Zilla Parishads. The terms of office for ZP Chairpersons and ZPTC members across all districts are set to expire on September 24, while the terms for MPTC members and Mandal Parishad Presidents will end the day before.
