Gurajada’s Birth Anniversary to be Observed as a State Festival
Vizianagaram: The government issued orders on Friday to observe the 164th birth anniversary of the great poet Gurajada Venkata Apparao as a state festival. In this regard, Vizianagaram District Revenue Officer (DRO) Chandaka Satibabu held a review meeting with officials from various departments at his chamber in the Collectorate and issued directives regarding the arrangements. The Police, Revenue, Municipal, and Education departments have been involved in the program scheduled for the 21st of this month. Instructions were issued to ensure that Gurajada’s ancestral home and his bronze statue are kept clean and well-maintained.
