ICMR Launches Rare Blood Donor Registry to Support Blood Transfusion for Rare Groups
The NIIH in Mumbai, which works under the auspices of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), has prepared a list of details of blood donors with rare blood groups across the country. This is the first time that such a list has been prepared at the national level.. With that information, it has made a portal called “Rare Blood Donor Registry of India” available. This registry, made available by ICMR-NIIH, has details of 600 donors with negative blood groups and 250 blood donors with extremely rare blood groups.
