Increased GST collections
GST collections in September this year increased by 9.1 percent. Rs 1.89 lakh crore was collected. It is noteworthy that in the same period last year, this value was only Rs 1.75 lakh crore. Indirect Tax Head Abhishek Jain said that the collections have increased after Prime Minister Modi's announcement on GST on August 15. Compared to last August (Rs 1.75 lakh crore), this time (Rs 1.86 lakh crore) has recorded a growth of 6.5 percent.
