India-Oman Free Trade Agreement comes into effect
Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said that the free trade agreement signed between India and Oman came into effect from Monday. He said that the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed between the two countries will benefit our country's exporters. It is known that the disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz have hampered the transport of many products including fuel and gas. With the latest free trade agreement signed between India and Oman, the 'Muscat coast' has become accessible to India.
