India to Host Women's Champions Trophy
Dubai: India is set to host the inaugural Women's Champions Trophy. The ICC announced this on Wednesday. This six-team tournament will take place from February 14 to 28 next year, with matches held in Mumbai and Vadodara. Originally, Sri Lanka had secured the hosting rights; however, the ICC stripped the country of these rights due to government interference in its cricket administration. After considering bids from the cricket boards of Bangladesh, India, and South Africa, the ICC ultimately awarded the hosting rights to India.
