Inquiry Committee Headed by Justice Subhash Reddy
The Supreme Court has appointed a high-level committee, led by former Supreme Court Judge Justice R. Subhash Reddy, to inquire into allegations of indiscriminate use of force by the police against students during the ‘Chalo Parliament’ rally held in Delhi last month. The committee will include former Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court Justice Ravi Shanker Jha, former Delhi High Court Judge Justice Shailender Kaur, former CBI Director Rishi Kumar Shukla, and former Meghalaya DGP L.R. Bishnoi as members.
