Stay Extended on Tree Felling in KBR Park Area
The Supreme Court has extended the stay it previously granted regarding the felling of trees within the Eco-Sensitive Zone (ESZ) of the Kasu Brahmananda Reddy (KBR) National Park in Hyderabad—an action proposed for road widening works around the park. Kajal Maheshwari had approached the Telangana High Court seeking a stay on the tree felling in the KBR Park ESZ. She contended that unregulated construction activities were taking place in the vicinity of KBR Park and urged for immediate intervention to prevent irreversible damage to the environment.
