Is it permissible to have a house next to the temple's main street?
Vastu expert Krishnadiseshu says that having residential houses very close to a temple is not auspicious. "The house should be beyond the main street of the temple. The negative impact of impurities such as births and deaths or other worldly activities that take place daily in the house can disturb the sanctity of the temple. That is why the main street acts as a protective boundary between spiritual energy and human life, preventing any ill effects," he says.
