The tensions in West Asia are affecting India’s cooking gas supply. Despite the assurances of the Center, there is a shortage of LPG at the field level in states like Bihar and Maharashtra. India mainly depends on the Gulf countries for gas. The country does not have the capacity to store LPG in large quantities like oil. In view of these challenges, experts suggest using cooking gas sparingly in the current situation.
