Telangana: Key arguments were held in the High Court on local elections. The High Court questioned the EC, saying, ‘Didn’t the Supreme Court also say that we should go for elections?’ However, it made such a comment during the hearing, but the EC stated that there were no orders to go for elections in the final order copy. Since the reservation issue is pending in the court, elections cannot be held until it is resolved. It explained to the High Court that re-notification will be given only after discussing with the government.
