Telangana: The High Court today took up the issue of local body elections. The government has ordered the Election Commission to tell when the elections will be held. The government and the EC have asked the court to give them two weeks to tell when the elections will be held, and the High Court has agreed to this. It is known that petitions were filed in the High Court challenging the 42% reservation given to BCs under GO 9 and the GO was stayed.
