‘Kerala’ is okay.. no projects: Shashi Tharoor
MP Shashi Tharoor took a jibe at the Union Cabinet’s approval of changing the name of Kerala to ‘Kerala’. He said that it is already called Kerala in Malayalam and now there is nothing wrong with bringing that word into English. He criticized the attention being paid to the name change as not being paid to the development of the state. He alleged that not a single new project was given to Kerala in the budget and key institutions like AIIMS were not allocated.
