Hockey India (HI) announced the Indian squad for the prestigious Hockey World Cup on Tuesday. Senior player Harmanpreet Singh will lead the 20-member team. The mega-tournament is scheduled to take place in Belgium and the Netherlands from the 15th to the 30th of next month. Recently, the Indian team had fielded a 24-member squad in the London Pro League. However, excluding Amandeep Lakra, Rajkumar Pal, Ravichandra Singh, and Selvam Karthi from that squad, the remaining 20 players were selected for the World Cup.
