Legal action against parents in Pooja Khedkar case escalates
Significant news has emerged regarding the family of dismissed probationary IAS officer Pooja Khedkar. Navi Mumbai Police have issued a lookout circular against Pooja Khedkar's father, Dilip Khedkar, and her mother, Manorama Khedkar, in connection with the kidnapping of a truck helper in Rabale, Navi Mumbai. Navi Mumbai Police have been searching for them, but they have been absconding for the past nine days. Police are also searching for an unidentified man in connection with the case. Meanwhile, the Khedkar family's driver-cum-bodyguard, Prafull Salunkhe, is in police custody.
How did they escape?
According to Navi Mumbai Police sources, Dilip Khedkar, Manorama Khedkar, and their bodyguard escaped on the same day the Rabale Police and Pune Police visited Manorama's Pune home for an investigation. It is reported that Dilip and the bodyguard fled in their Land Cruiser, followed by Manorama Khedkar about 30 minutes later. The three accused fled between 12:00 and 3:00 pm.

According to sources, Dilip Khedkar and his bodyguard drove directly from Pune to Ahmednagar. There, Dilip Khedkar asked the bodyguard to get out of the car and proceeded with the Land Cruiser. The bodyguard then drove directly to his village, Dhule. Police suspect that Dilip Khedkar hid the car and fled. Navi Mumbai Police have not yet recovered the Land Cruiser.
