Medal Confirmed for Lovlina
India got off to a promising start on the opening day of the Commonwealth Games. While the campaign began with victories in Lawn Bowls, star boxer Lovlina Borgohain secured her first Commonwealth medal without even stepping into the ring. Young boxers Preeti Pawar (54 kg), Jasmine Lamboria (57 kg), and Priya Ghanghas (60 kg) also received a bye in the first round. Meanwhile, Jadumani Singh (55 kg) is set to face Aaron Cullen (Scotland) in the men's first-round bout on Friday.
