Samarkand: The defending champion Indian men's and women's teams are maintaining their strong momentum at the Chess Olympiad. Both teams won their respective matches in the fourth consecutive round. In Saturday's contest, the men's team convincingly defeated Spain 3-1; Arjun and Gukesh won their games, while Praggnanandhaa and Nihal played out draws. The women's team also secured a 3-1 victory over Mongolia; Savitha Shri and Divya Deshmukh won their matches, while Koneru Humpy and Vaishali shared points with their opponents.
