Must use available water judiciously
Hyderabad: Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the state government is taking proactive measures to tackle the impact of El Niño. He announced that priority would be given to drinking water supplies over the next 11 to 12 months. He mentioned that steps have been taken to fill reservoirs and tanks using various lift irrigation schemes. He also explained the launch of the ‘Telangana Jalasiri’ program, which integrates water conservation, groundwater rejuvenation, and rural employment.
