Nari Shakti ready for an adventure in the ocean
A team of ten women officers from the Indian tri-services is set to embark on the first-ever circumnavigation of the globe. It has been named Samudra Pradakshina. As part of this, they will travel 26,000 nautical miles in a single leg. The journey will take place in the extremely rough waters of the Southern Ocean and the Drake Passage. The team is expected to reach Mumbai in May next year. The team has been undergoing rigorous training for the last three years.
