New Health Policy for Government Employees and Pensioners
Telangana: A new health policy will come into effect for government employees and pensioners. With this, there will be unlimited medical facilities in empaneled hospitals. A total of 3% (about Rs.1000Cr per year) will be allocated, including 1.5% of the basic pay of employees and pensioners and 1.5% from the government. After the scheme starts, there is a possibility of bringing staff of public sector undertakings, model schools and gurukuls into this. A committee will be formed for this.
