Number of male passengers in buses reduced
Andhra Pradesh: The number of female passengers is increasing with the ‘Stree Shakti’ scheme. The RTC said that 26 lakh people used this facility daily in February. With this, the occupancy has crossed 92%. At the same time, men are hesitant to travel in buses. Their number has come down to 37%. The main reason for this is the unavailability of seats in buses. They complain that they are not able to travel comfortably even though they are paying money.
