Order ‘Sunshine’ for Delivery... Turning Night into Day!
Just as you can order food at night, you will soon be able to order sunshine as well. A California-based startup called ‘Reflect Orbital’ plans to launch satellites equipped with massive mirrors into space to redirect sunlight back down to Earth. For a fee of ₹4.5 lakhs per hour, the night sky could be illuminated as brightly as broad daylight. The company's goal is to deploy 50,000 such satellites by the year 2035. However, there are concerns that this artificial illumination could pose a threat to both the environment and scientific research.
