Pakistan Beaten
The Indian men's hockey team has advanced to the second round of the World Cup. In their final Group D match held on Wednesday, they decisively defeated Pakistan 5-3. Captain Harmanpreet Singh (5th, 21st minutes) and Abhishek (11th, 24th minutes) delivered a spectacular performance, each scoring twice—Harmanpreet via penalty corners and Abhishek through field goals. Vice-captain Hardik Singh (34th minute) added another goal via a penalty stroke. For Pakistan, Shahid (22nd, 46th minutes) and Sufyan (24th minute) scored goals.
