Practicing as a lawyer despite a suspended license—is this not fraud?
Hyderabad: The High Court has stated that appearing before a court as a lawyer while concealing the fact that one’s license has been suspended amounts to fraud. The court took strong exception to an advocate, Ushi Reddy, who filed a *vakalatnama* and appeared in court wearing an advocate’s band, despite having been suspended from practice by the State Bar Council. This issue was noted by a bench presided over by Justice Nagesh Bheempaka during the hearing of a case. India: The Favorites
