Quimcy’s Hopes Rest on Bronze
Indian Teqball star Quimcy D'Souza, who impressed everyone with a sensational performance at the Asian Games, has bowed out of the race for the gold. In the women's singles semi-final held on Saturday, Quimcy lost to Sumaya (Indonesia) with scores of 12-7, 9-12, 7-12. Consequently, she is set to face top seed Yivuna Sakamoto (Japan) on Sunday in the contest for the bronze medal. It is worth noting that Quimcy is also competing for the bronze medal in the mixed doubles event alongside fellow Indian player Ahmed.
