Reduced allocation of funds for Polavaram
Andhra Pradesh: Allocations for the Polavaram project have been reduced in the FY26-27 central budget. This time, only ₹3320 crores have been allocated for this project. Last year, ₹5936 crores were given in the budget. However, despite more funds being allocated last year, only ₹3017 crores were received according to the revised estimates. The Union Minister clarified in his budget speech that the Polavaram water storage level has been reduced to 41.15 meters.
