Shreyas as T20I Captain?
The *Times of India* has reported that if the selectors decide to remove Surya from the T20I captaincy, Shreyas Iyer would be their primary choice. The report notes that, in addition to the positive impression left by Shreyas's leadership in the IPL, there is currently no other player capable of filling his shoes at the crucial number four position in T20 cricket. It was reported that, despite the competition from Pant and Gill, the preference is leaning towards Iyer. Although Surya earns high marks as a captain, he is failing as a player.
