Strange Object on Space Station: Mistaken for an Alien Egg
A photograph of a peculiar object with black protrusions aboard the International Space Station has gone viral online. Upon seeing it, netizens were alarmed, speculating that it might be some kind of alien egg. However, it was later revealed to be a purple potato grown by astronaut Don Pettit during his leisure time. He explained that plants grow more slowly in space than on Earth, and that due to the absence of gravity, their roots spread out in all directions. He further stated that experiments involving "space gardens" are being conducted with a view toward the future.
