Supreme Court Issues Key Orders on Polavaram Anti-Malarial Tablets Incident
The Supreme Court of India has responded strongly to the tragic incident in the Polavaram Agency area of Andhra Pradesh, where a tribal child, Madivi Jamuna (7), died after an adverse reaction to anti-malarial tablets. Taking *suo motu* cognizance of the matter, the country's apex court directed the Andhra Pradesh High Court to closely monitor the investigation process. A bench led by the Chief Justice of India issued these orders.
