Suspension of US visa appointments worldwide
Washington: The US government has taken a significant decision to temporarily suspend visa appointments worldwide. Consular officers will be trained to thoroughly screen and consistently identify individuals who might become financially dependent on the government (public charge) after arriving in the United States. The decision to suspend visa interviews came a day after the Trump administration proposed a fee of $103,265 for H-1B visas.
