He further opined that the repercussions of such an act would not have been confined solely to the Middle East but would have spread as far as Europe. Meanwhile, responding to the resignation of Joe Kent, Director of the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center, it was remarked that he was very weak on security matters and that his departure was for the best.
