Urban Body Elections by October
Amaravati: The state government has given the green signal for local body elections. Simultaneously, it decided to increase reservation quotas for Backward Classes (BCs). A cabinet meeting chaired by CM Chandrababu on Tuesday approved these measures. The Chief Minister made it clear that the local body elections must be conducted by October. Regarding reservations, the Cabinet decided to allocate 34% reservation for Backward Classes (BCs) in rural local bodies and 33.33% in urban local bodies.
