VAS Posts Brought Under APPSC Purview
Amaravati: The rules governing the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC)—specifically the 1963 regulations—have been amended to facilitate the recruitment of Veterinary Assistant Surgeons (VAS) in the Animal Husbandry Department. The government issued a notification to this effect on Monday. Since the government decided to conduct VAS recruitment through the APPSC, it issued these amendment orders to bring these posts—which were previously outside the Commission's purview—under its jurisdiction. The VAS posts will now be filled through APPSC written examinations.
