Vijay Resigns as MLA for Trichy East
Chennai: TVK Chief and Chief Minister Vijay—who secured victory in two constituencies during the general elections for the Tamil Nadu Assembly—has relinquished the Trichy East seat. He has resigned from his position as the MLA for that constituency. He will continue to serve as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Perambur. The Assembly Secretariat stated in a press release that Vijay tendered his resignation on Sunday, prior to formally assuming his duties at the Secretariat.
